The Sanctuary: Bayside’s Newest Eco-Luxury Retreat

Opened in April 2025, The Sanctuary is Bayside Glamping’s latest offering – a private, adults-only retreat nestled on expansive acreage near the Marion Bay Tavern and the entrance to Dhilba Guuranda-Innes National Park.

Blending hotel-style comfort with raw natural beauty, this thoughtfully designed stay features a wabi-sabi aesthetic, reclaimed materials, and selections and styling by Homes by Penny Crompton. Every detail has been carefully considered, with handmade, locally sourced finishes celebrating the best of South Australian craftsmanship.

Just minutes from the beach and jetty, The Sanctuary offers the perfect balance of sustainability, comfort, and coastal charm.

Created for two adults, this peaceful space includes:

The firepit is only available for use outside of fireman season, so available between May and October. Some firewood is supplied, with the option to purchase more.

The fireplace can be used from mid April to October.

The hut kitchen contains an indoor Ninja BBQ that lets you grill, bake, roast, and air-fry with ease.

Marion Bay offers quaint local amenities, with seasonal hours for the Tavern and General Store.

Hi, my name’s Tiffany, and I grew up in the gorgeous little town of Marion Bay. I run our small business with my partner Luke, and our energetic toddler; Tasman.. and still with the help of my handy dad George! Bayside Glamping was the brainchild of my dad & I. We wanted to provide accommodation with a point of difference – specifically for romantic getaways, where we can share this beautiful patch of coastline with people from all over the country. I’ve always had the best relationship with my dad, but our little project has made us even closer 🙂 We hope you love the little oasis that we built!
