Hi, I’m Georgia and I’m the manager of Mangamaunu, tucked away down on the South Island of New Zealand. I first came to Kaikōura in 2017 chasing good surf and fell in love with the town. It’s such a special place and I felt immediately at home. I’m now lucky enough to be the manager at this incredible spot. Everyday is different up here and I’m constantly blown away with how beautiful it is, regardless of weather or season. I’m from the UK originally, but after meeting a kiwi guy here that same summer I arrived – incidentally in the surf right below the Mangamaunu – we now both live in this stunning part of the world. The owners of Mangamaunu are local South Island Kiwis. They love the peace and beauty of Mangamaunu and the surrounding countryside. They are keen surfers and skiers, and hold an annual Festival at the Mangamaunu Retreat in November.
