In cases of simultaneous or non-simultaneous vehicle swaps, your guests can usually obtain Comprehensive Cover by contacting your current vehicle insurance provider and adding your swap guests to your existing policy. Including extra drivers might be free of charge or come with a small fee, which depends on factors such as your insurance provider, the guests’ claims, criminal record, and driving history.

Before listing your vehicle as an option on your home swap listing, we suggest reaching out to your current insurance provider to confirm the details. If your insurance company expects an extra fee for adding more drivers to your policy, you should decide in advance who will bear this cost (host or guest) and communicate this clearly in your listing.

Processing of additional funds

Kindly inform our team about any extra agreed-upon expenses via email. Our Short Stays Payments Team will confirm these additional expenses to the guest through email, and our home SWAP Security Deposit Management Team will handle the transaction 7-10 days before the guest’s check-in date. Any funds for authorized expenses outside of the Security Deposit will be transferred to the host 24 hours after the guest’s check-in. The processing time for these funds to reach the host’s account will vary based on the host’s financial institution’s transaction procedures.
