NSW STRA registration is mandated by the NSW Government to ensure that all hosts adhere to short stay regulations and commit to following the code of conduct. Here are the key points to note about the registration process:

Residential accommodations like houses, units, and terraces are required to register with STRA.

Dwellings such as caravans, tents, motorhomes, house boats, campsites, movable housing (tiny homes) or serviced bed and breakfasts are exempt from registration.

Upon registration, you will receive a unique STRA Property ID (PID-STRA-XXXX), which must be included in your Short Stays listing before it can be published for bookings.
To add your PID number in your listing:

Go to MY LISTINGS

Choose Edit Listing

Click on LOCATION

Input your STRA PID number

SAVE your changes
If you are exempt from registration as per point 2 above, there will be no option to input an STRA number.
Cost
There is a non-refundable one-off registration fee of $65 for the initial 12 months and an ongoing annual renewal fee of $25.
