New Zealand GST rules

 

In accordance with the GST Marketplace Rules of the Inland Revenue Department, starting April 1, 2024, Short Stays Australia & New Zealand is not required to collect and remit 15% GST on accommodation prices and cleaning fees for short stay listings in New Zealand. While certain accommodation booking platforms must collect and remit the 15% GST, you have the flexibility to adjust your nightly rate on Short Stays accordingly.

Please note: These regulations do not apply to New Zealand Long Stay and Home Swap listings.
