Long Stay booking process for hosts

The following details the process for Long Stay bookings of 3 months or more:

Step 1

Guests will look for a property that meets their needs. If a guest has no additional questions or doesn’t need to inspect the property, they will send a BOOKING REQUEST to the host. Booking requests will not block any calendar dates until the booking request is accepted by the host. For long stay bookings, requests will remain visible in the host’s dashboard under MY BOOKINGS for 14 days before they are automatically cancelled.

If guests have additional questions, they can click on CONTACT HOST located on the right-hand side of the listing.

Step 2

The host may ask for more details like personal identification (ID), evidence of income, and rental references before confirming the booking. We advise all guests to be prepared for a vetting process similar to applying for a rental property.

Step 3

Before finalising the booking, it is strongly advised for both the host and guest to review, agree to, and sign a Country and State-specific tenancy agreement. You can access Australia’s and New Zealand’s landlord regulations, guidelines, tenancy agreements, bond lodgment and entry/exit reports through the links provided below. This ensures that both parties comprehend and comply with the legal obligations outlined in the agreement throughout the stay.

NEW ZEALAND

Step 4

Once all the host’s conditions are fulfilled, the host will CONFIRM the booking request via Short Stays. Any payments for the bond, upfront rent, and subsequent rent will be directly transferred to the host as outlined in the tenancy agreement.
